Licensed Architect | NCARB | Designer
At an early stage in my life, I knew I was interested in design. This passion, along with my desire to draw, led me to go to school for architecture. At the University of Pittsburgh, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture with a minor is Studio Arts. After receiving my undergraduate degree, I went to graduate school at The Ohio State University, where I worked with talented professors such as Rob Livesey, Stephen Turk, and Jeff Kipnis among others. I expanded my knowledge through studios, design workshops, and weekly lectures. While at OSU, I also had the privilege of being a head teaching assistant for the Architectural Representation courses. In these courses we taught the sophomore undergraduates how to use programs like AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, Adobe Design Suite [Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign], and Grasshopper.
As graduate school progressed, I gained various new skills and began to experience the professional side of architecture through two internships at a firm in Columbus, Ohio. After both graduating from The Ohio State University and receiving the AIA Henry Adams Medal [given to those with the highest GPA of a graduating class of students], I moved to Michigan.
Since 2015, I have worked at a small boutique firm in Birmingham Michigan named Christopher J. Longe AIA Architecture. Over three years, I have advanced from an architectural intern to a project manager with the management of three high-end, mixed-use projects. Also in Michigan, I gained my architectural license and NCARB certification in May 2017. As I move to Baltimore, I look forward to continuing to learn and grow my skills as a licensed architect.
Personally, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, and being a crazy cat-dad to Poppy. I am also a Pittsburgh sports fan and love to catch Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates games no matter what city I am in.
